Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS my nsfas Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of nsfas 2025 the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to nsfas status check wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
